Looked After Children (LAC) Team

The Looked After Children team assess the needs of children and young people aged 0-19 years who are looked after by the Local Authority in Enfield.

We are a team of Health Visitors and School Nurses who have undertaken additional training to assess the health needs of children and young people who are cared for by the Local Authority.

Our service

We aim to improve the health and life chances of Enfield’s Looked after Children aged 0-19 yrs by providing a holistic approach to health care assessments. We also contribute to the strategic planning of local delivery plans, designed to raise the profile of children and young people within the social care system.

Our service users

The service is for children and young people who are looked after by the Local Authority in Enfield and those placed in other Boroughs by Enfield Local Authority within a twenty mile radius.

Accessing the service

Referrals can be made by children and young people themselves, their carers or by other health professionals.
